I'm back from my trip to Colorado. I was able to connect with some of the folks I'd been missing and it was lovely. Also I ran into a few friends that I didn't expect to see, and even make a few new friends.
All in all a great trip.

I definitely like the Jill Sobul version better when comparing these two.
So my grandma recently adopted a german shepard from a rescue organization. She was about 4 months old and I think is like 6 months now. My grandma has talked to her vet and anyone else she could about her problem. They have given her herbs, she bought a treadmill for the dog, and she is in training every week.
Basically the problem is that her dog has OCD. Neither of us knew this was possible until she was given a pamphlet on it. Her dog, Bella, will literally run in the background until she cant run anymore chasing invisible flies. It is like her mind HAS to be doing something and it completely takes control of her. Originally my grandma was fine with the idea because she is getting alot of exercise until she realized that Bella is seriously tormented by the fact she just cant stop.
Thus, I told my grandma I would ask all of my dog community friends to see if any of you have any possible suggestions because my grandma is starting to wonder if this is just never going to go away.
Thanks.

Y'know, I'm all for a positive self image no matter what you look like, and I'm all for queens gettin' their groove on and creating routines, and I'm even all for them video-taping them so that they can watch them later.
But JESUS FUCK. Why would you put that on YouTube? Seriously... Holy crap.
Also? Nice gunt. Fupa. Whatever you want to call it. IN A LEOTARD.

This one's for a commission involving an older Kiba, Hanabi, and Akamaru.

There are some revisions to make, but it counts as a sketch!
Hopefully, I won't be completely wiped tonight, because I need to draft up another couple of sketches so I can work on those next week before the holidays hit. Can you believe the month is almost over?

Some people need to remember that rockstar today can mean has been tomorrow.
And on an unrelated note...
if I get called White Girl one more time today I am going to find the nearest Ethiopian radio station I can and blast that shit into her little Eritriean office.

I've been trying to register for my spring 2009 AutoCAD classes at ACC, but it's been a frustrating experience. Because only ACC hours count, and those students with more hours (and who are presumably closer to completing their plans of study) get to register first, by the time the certificate program students are allowed to register, the classes I need are already full. Argh... So I've been checking the website frequently, hovering like some studious vulture, waiting for somebody to drop one of the classes I need so I can swoop in and register before someone else gets the spot.
So far, I have one of the classes I want, in the time I want it (M/W). I have another class, just at the wrong time (all of Saturday morning, which is a problem since that's when I'm supposed to be leading Campfire meetings). I'm hoping the instructor will allow me to attend the M/W session, if there's a computer open, or if there isn't maybe I could do my work in The Cave (the open lab), and just sit in a chair in the room on the days when there's a lecture (most of these classes consists of simply doing the exercises and getting experience using the programs). Then there's the Civil Drafting class, of which they only offer two sessions (16 students each), which is apparently always a problem, with way more students wanting it than being able to take it. Considering that the class is required for two of the certificate programs (and two of the degree programs), it's frustrating that they don't offer more sessions. I know that increasing the class size doesn't work - the rooms are set up for 16 students.

I'm seriously considering dropping the Subcultures class for winter term. I know that dropping it won't affect my financial aid, and it would give me a chance to really focus on the Folklore of the British Isles class. I guess because this class is being taught by my mentor, it's making me feel guilty. Besides, I'm really interested in that class, and I know it's not going to come around again until 2010-2011. On the other hand, I don't feel I'm performing as well THIS term because I'm overloaded. And I know that the winter term will be worse because the winter GTF comp course will require more work. So I really shouldn't be feeling guilty...but I am.
Grah. Since when have I been this indecisive about my schedule? Or about anything?

Hi guys,
I'm a long time lurker but first time poster. I've looked thru the memories and couldn't find anything. I'm wondering if anyone has tried Gotu Kola (Umbilliferae), and what were your experiences with this herb?
A friend of mine has a vaginal tear from giving birth recently and she was looking into this herb, specifically for it's wound heling properties. If anyone has any experience with this pls let me know!! OR if you can recommend anything else, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance guys

Each year, thousands of children suffer burn related accidents from the many hazards of childhood. In July of 1979, I joined those children. At the tender age of 6, I was admitted to Shriner's Burns Institute in Cincinnati to receive the specialized medical attention I needed to survive another day. Like many of the other children in the faceless statistics, I awoke disoriented, confused, and alone, in a sterile environment designed to keep me alive. I was scared, frightened, and felt completely isolated from the world I knew, common actions that I had taken for granted now causing crippling agony. And I was lucky. Lucky to be alive, and lucky to be in a caring environment. After four months of rehabilitation, I was able to leave the hospital, mostly under my own power. There were several follow-up visits and surgeries, but for the most part, the worst was over.
However, there are many children who arrive at Shriner's without the luck I have. Many have lost their families, or are summarily abandoned due to their injuries. Compounding that tragedy like nothing else are the hospital stays that last through the holiday season, beginning with Halloween, passing through birthdays and Thanksgiving, before ending up on Christmas, the most anticipated holiday to many children.
The Shriner's Burns Institute relies on private sources to maintain the free hospital services that they provide. They consistently give the best care in the burn field, making breakthrough discoveries almost daily. They do their best to provide for every child who is rushed in through their doors, but the holidays are tough, especially for the tiny patients. That's where you and I come in to the picture. We are collecting new toys, games, and books to donate to the Shriner's Burns Institute in Cincinnati – to give back a “Special Gift” to the children. Words can not even begin to describe the feeling received when you know that your actions are able to bring a smile to the face and joy to the heart of these young victims.
From now through December 20th (to allow adequate time for delivery to the hospital), we are asking that if you have the opportunity, please purchase a new (sadly, used toys can not be accepted due to sterilization concerns) toy, game, comic or book for donation to the Special Gift Toy Drive. Each comic, card, game or the like that we donate this way will provide a child with the things that we love so much, hopefully igniting in them the same passions we feel when we read a great book or play an awesome video game.
Below is a list of the items we’re looking to acquire – if you (or someone you know) would like to donate, feel free to pass along my contact information.
Thank you, and I hope that you and yours have a happy and rewarding holiday season.

The computer seems to be okay. I called my father this morning to get ideas for what might be wrong with it, and when I pushed the on button, it sprang to life like nothing had been wrong. Dad claimed that his Midas touch for electronics works even through the phone line. Personally, I think that we had some weird power bump that took the computer awhile to recover from. I think this because, when I went to print something, the printer was off. I NEVER turn the printer off, so it suffered through something, as well.
Anyway, I feel better knowing I don't have to pull some sort of Houdini to fix my machine. I'm not very good at vomiting up keys.
In other realms, I ponder: should I take an eastern European folk ensemble class? Yes, I get to sing. Yes, it's out of my comfort zone. Yes, it's at 7pm Tuesday nights. No, I don't know if we get to actually perform anywhere. Yes, it sounds like crazy fun. No, it has nothing to do with my folklore degree. No, I don't care.

Subservient Chicken!
Command Subservient Chicken to do as you wish. CAUTION: Subservient Chicken is a family chicken, and should only be commanded to do PG rated things. Subservient Chicken is just a chicken, and does not understand all commands. Do not taunt happy fun chicken.
